가톨릭성가 ... Veni Sancte Spiritus

성령강림대축일 부속가[Sequentia]의 첫 부분으로 1_3 절입니다 ...

 

Veni Sancte Spiritus  .....  Come, Holy Spirit,   [參考-1]
et emitte caelitus  .....  and send down from heaven   [參考-2]
lucis tuae radium.  .....   the ray of your light.

 

오소서, 성령님. 주님의 빛, 그 빛살을 하늘에서 내리소서.

 

Come, O Holy Spirit, come;   [參考-3]

And from Thy heavenly Home

shed a ray of Light divine.

Veni pater pauperum,  .....   Come, father of the poor,
veni dator munerum,  .....  come, giver of gifts,
veni lumen cordium.  .....   light of the hearts.

 

가난한 이 아버지, 오소서 은총 주님, 오소서 마음의 빛.

 

Come, Thou, Father of the poor;

Come, with treasures that endure;

Come, to light this heart of mine.

Consolator optime,  .....  Best consoler,
dulcis hospes animae,  .....  sweet host of the soul,

가장 좋은 위로자, 영혼의 기쁜 손님, 저희 생기 돋우소서.

[參考-1]

- 일반적으로 호격(vocative case)은 주격(nominative case)어형과 동일하나,

 일부 남성단수명사중에서 [어미가 -us 또는 -ius 로 끝나는 경우] 예외가 있음.

- e.g. : amicus --> amice, filius --> fili, bonus Jesus --> bone Jesu

- caelitus 의 개념중에 하늘에서 라는 뜻을 함께 갖고있는지는 잘 모르겠습니다. 

- 미사통상문의 신앙고백[Credo]에서 다음 句節을 참조하시기 바랍니다. 

 성자께서는 저희 인간을 위하여, 저희 구원을 위하여 하늘에서 내려오셨음을 믿나이다 ...

 Qui propter nos homines et propter nostram salutem descendit de caelis

- 위의 句節에서는 de caelis 부분이 하늘에서를 의미합니다.
