Dies irae ... 3

Missa pro defunctis 의 DIES IRAE 중 stanza 14 부터 stanza 19 까지의 해석입니다 ...

 

Preces meae non sunt dignae  .....  제 기도가 비록 마땅치 않으나

sed tu bonus fac benigne  .....  선하신 분이시여 ___ ___ 하소서. 

ne perenni cremer igne  .....  제가 영원한 불속에서 타오르지 않게

 

My prayers are not worthy;

however, thou, Good [Lord], do good,

lest I am burned up by eternal fire. 

 

Inter oves locum praesta  .....  ___ ___ 양들 사이에 자리 잡게 하시어      [參考-12]   

et ab haedis me sequestra  .....  염소들 속에서 저를 뽑아내시어 

statuens in parte dextra  .....  당신 오른 편에 서게 하소서. 

 

Grant me a place among the sheep,

and take me out from among the goats,

setting me on the right side. 

  

Confutatis maledictis  .....  악인들이 ___ ___ 던져질 때 

flammis acribus addictis  .....  심판받아 화염속에  

voca me cum benedictis  .....  축복받은 이들과 함께 저를 부르소서. 

 

Once the cursed have been rebuked,

sentenced to acrid flames;

Call thou me with the blessed. 

 

Oro supplex et acclinis  .....  ___ ___ 저는 기대며 간구하오니,     [參考-13] 

cor contritum quasi cinis  .....  재와 같이 비통한 마음으로 

gere curam mei finis  .....  제 마지막을 돌보소서. 

 

I meekly and humbly pray,

[my] heart is as crushed as the ashes; 

perform the healing of mine end.

 

Lacrymosa dies illa  .....  눈물의 날 바로 그날,     [參考-14] 

qua resurget ex favilla  .....  ___ ___ 불꽃 속에서 되살아나는 날.      [參考-15]

judicandus homo reus  .....  심판받아 마땅한 죄인이 

 

Tearful will be that day,

on which from the ash arises

the guilty man who is to be judged. 

  

Huic ergo parce Deus  .....  하느님 저를 용서하소서     [參考-16] 

pie Jesu Domine  .....  자비로운 주 예수님,     [參考-14] 

dona eis requiem amen  .....  그들에게 안식을 베푸소서. 아멘.  

 

Spare him therefore, God,

Merciful Lord Jesus,

grant them rest, Amen.

- stanza 15 의 English version 이 비교적 直譯에 가까움

- 양들 사이에 자리 잡게 하시고, 오른 쪽으로 지정하시어, 염소들로부터 떼어 주소서

- oro supplex : I pray kneeling or I humbly entreating, (저는) 무릎꿇고 비오니 or  저는 간구하오니

- et acclinis : and leaning (on anything), 기대며

 

[參考-14]

- stanza 18 & 19 를 위의 [3귀절+3귀절]이 아니고, 아래와 같이 [4귀절+2귀절]로 구분하는 학자들도 있음

- dies illa 와 ex favilla 및 homo reus 와 parce Deus 로 이루어지는 운율[rhyme & metre] 때문일듯

- English version 은 그 대상으로 him 을 지정했고, 우리말 해석은 저를 지칭함
