Beatus vir ..... Blessed is the man    [參考-1]    

qui timet Dominum ..... that feareth the Lord:
in mandatis eius volet nimis ..... he shall delight exceedingly in his commandments.

 

행복하여라, 주님을 경외하고 그분의 계명들로 큰 즐거움을 삼는 이!

복되다, 하느님을 두려워하는 이여, 당신의 계명을 큰 낙으로 삼는 이여.

 

potens in terra erit semen eius ..... His seed shall be mighty upon earth:
generatio rectorum benedicetur ..... the generation of the righteous shall be blessed.

 

그의 후손은 땅에서 융성하고 올곧은 이들의 세대는 복을 받으리라.

그 후손은 세상에서 강성하리라. 의인의 자손은 축복을 받으리라.

gloria et divitiae in domo eius ..... Glory and wealth shall be in his house:    [參考-2] 
et iustitia eius manet ..... and his justice remaineth

in saeculum saeculi ..... for ever and ever.

 

부와 재물이 그의 집에 있고 그의 의로움은 길이 존속하리라.

재산과 부요함이 그의 집에 있고 그 의로움이 항상 남아 있으리라. 

exortum est in tenebris lumen rectis ..... To the righteous a light is risen up in darkness:
misericors et miserator et iustus ..... he is merciful, and compassionate and just. [參考-1]  

 

올곧은 이들에게는 어둠 속에서 빛이 솟으리라. 그는 너그럽고 자비로우며 의롭다네.

인자하고 자비롭고 의로운 그는 어둠 속의 빛처름 바른 사람을 비추도다. 

iucundus homo .....  Acceptable is the man

qui miseretur et commodat ..... that showeth mercy and lendeth:
disponet res suas in iudicio ..... he shall order his words with judgment:

 

잘되리라, 관대하게 꾸어 주고 제 일을 올바르게 처리하는 이!

복되다, 인정 있고 꾸어 주는 사람. 올바로 자기 일을 처리하도다.

quia in aeternum  ..... Because ___ for ever.

non commovebitur ..... he shall not be moved 
in memoria aeterna erit iustus ..... The just shall be in everlasting remembrance:

 

정녕 그는 언제나 흔들리지 않고 의인은 영원한 기억으로 남으리라.

흔들림이 항상 그에게 없고 언제나 의인으로 기억에 남기리라.

ab auditione mala non timebit ..... he shall not fear the evil hearing.

그는 나쁜 소식을 두려워하지 않고 그 마음은 주님을 굳게 신뢰하네.

언짢은 소식에도 그는 아니 놀라니 주께 바라는 그 마음 든든하여라.

그의 마음 굳세어 두려워하지 않네, 자기 적들을 내려다볼 때까지.

그 마음 굳세어서 겁을 모르리니 마침내 그 원수들의 망신을 보리라. 

dispersit dedit pauperibus ..... He hath distributed, he hath given to the poor:
iustitia eius manet in saeculum saeculi ..... his justice remaineth for ever and ever:
cornu eius exaltabitur in gloria ..... his horn shall be exalted in glory.

 

불쌍한 이들에게 후하게 나누어 주니 그의 의로움은 길이 존속하고

그의 뿔은 영광 속에 치켜들리리라.

그는 없는 이에게 기꺼이 나눠주어도 의로움은 그대로 항상 남아 있으리니

영광 속에 그 이마가 높이 쳐들리리라.

peccator videbit et irascetur ..... The wicked shall see, and shall be angry,
dentibus suis fremet et tabescet ..... he shall gnash with his teeth and pine away:
desiderium peccatorum peribit ..... the desire of the wicked shall perish.

 

악인은 이를 보며 울화를 터뜨리고 이를 갈며 스러지는구나.

악인들의 욕망은 허사가 되는구나.

악한 자 이를 보고, 울화를 터뜨리며 이를 갈면서 죽어 가리니

악한 자의 탐욕은 스러지고 말리라.

접속사 donec(until)으로 시작되는  종속절에서

그 문장의 主動詞가 접속법(subjuctive)으로 쓰이는 경우가 많음.

위 English version 에서 until he look over [he looks 가 아닌]로 해석되었음을 참조하시고

접속법(subjunctive)의 문법적인 개념을 어렴풋이나마 이해하시기 바랍니다.  

더하여 King James version 에는 이 부분이 아래와 같이 번역되어 있음.
